Job Summary

Theatre Scrub Practitioner - Nights

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgery.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care to patients in the perioperative environment
  • Take charge of theatre as delegated by the Senior Team Leader for a specified period of time
  • Lead a perioperative team to manage a group of patients throughout a shift
  • Provide skilled clinical assistance to the surgical, anaesthetic, and recovery teams

Person Specification

Essential

  • Minimum of 12 months post-registration within the Perioperative environment
  • Scrub experience within emergency specialty, including general, gynae, urology, and trauma
  • Recovery experience

Qualification and Professional Training

Essential

  • Registered General Nurse and/or Registered Operating Department Practitioner
  • Evidence of CPD

Desirable

  • Mentoring & Assessing Qualification
