This role is part of our Finance team, responsible for reviewing and creating retail contracts in SAP. You'll be working closely with the Retail Commercial Team to ensure accurate billing and credit control activities.

We're looking for an experienced Retail Accountant to join our team on a hybrid approach, with three days in the office and two days remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review signed contracts and advise the retail team on translation into SAP
  • Translate physical retail contracts into SAP for accurate billing and VAT reporting
  • Ensure passenger/CPI/RPI/Margins are updated each month prior to billing
  • Provide support and cover for month-end provisions and reconciliations
  • Monitor incomplete contracts vs active retail sales and question with the retail team
  • Manage weekly sales data and raise invoices as per contracts
  • Liaise with the retail team on credit control activities, including cash allocation and monthly/periodic 'wash up' reconciliations/contractual rebates

Requirements:

  • AAT or CIMA related qualification
  • Understanding of a retail environment (desirable)
  • Complex contract terms and accrual calculations
  • Credit control and invoicing procedures
  • Ability to work as part of a team and prioritise workload
  • Communication skills at all levels across the business
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP desirable but not essential)
  • Intermediate/advanced Excel skills
