Pastoral Assistant - Social Science Graduates

EdEx is seeking a compassionate and passionate Psychology Graduate to support students in a dynamic and 'Outstanding' Primary School in the heart of Barnet. This is a full-time and long-term opportunity starting September 2024.

About the Role

This role is perfect for a Psychology Graduate pursuing a career in teaching and/or gaining experience for Clinical/Educational Psychology Courses. As a Pastoral Assistant, you will work closely with an Educational Psychologist and Speech and Language Therapist to support students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Downs Syndrome, and other complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and Downs Syndrome
  • Work closely with an Educational Psychologist and Speech and Language Therapist to develop and implement support plans
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, promoting their social and emotional wellbeing
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Participate in training and CPD opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
