Administrative Support Specialist

As an Administration Assistant with the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive learning environment. This role is perfect for recent school leavers who are looking to secure employment and career progression in Administration Services.
The ideal candidate will be able to provide administrative and clerical support to the Category Team, ensuring that the Trust obtains the best possible value in procurement and delivery of goods and services. You will work closely with the Category Team, Inventory & Supplies, Performance and Governance Team to deliver key results and support category leads during procurement activities.
Your responsibilities will include researching products and services for procurement activities, arranging meetings and events to support category leads, compiling and reviewing electronic data from reporting systems, and supporting in covering the procurement mailbox and resolving product or service queries. You will also communicate information on services or products to colleagues or staff members, review spend comparison reports, and take follow-up actions. Additionally, you will perform general administration duties and maintain accurate information using electronic systems, and undertake specific projects as directed by the category team.
Person Specification:
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have 5 GCSEs including 9-4 in Maths and English, and experience working as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft applications is also essential. You will require good verbal and written communication skills, a flexible approach to work, and be self-motivated.
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience).
