Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  1. Network and Applications Engineering: Collaborate with our customers to design and engineer optical network solutions that meet their specific needs.
  2. Technical Sales Support: Provide technical expertise to support sales efforts, including responding to RFPs, RFIs, and other customer requests.
  3. Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest optical networking technologies and products, and communicate this knowledge to customers and internal stakeholders.
  4. Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their technical requirements and providing solutions that meet their needs.
  5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with our sales team, product management, and marketing to develop and propose product enhancements that meet customer requirements.
Requirements
  1. Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of core optical networking, including DWDM, ROADM, 100G/200G/400G transmission, OTN technologies, and DCI solutions.
  2. Data Networking: Technical knowledge of data networking, including understanding of IP/Ethernet and other data networking protocols.
  3. Software Defined Networking: Familiarity with Software Defined Networking, network orchestration, and Network Function Virtualization.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  5. Team Player: Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment, taking on board round table discussions on solution architecture.
Desired Characteristics
  1. Leadership: Ability to demonstrate leadership in technical sales activities.
  2. Customer Focus: Ability to understand customer needs and use technical expertise to develop customer solutions.
  3. Flexibility: Flexible individual that can handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  4. Technical Degree: Technical degree, BSEE or equivalent.
  5. Optical Networking Experience: Prior experience in optical networking.

Travel Requirements: 20% travel required.
