About the Role

NFU Mutual is seeking an IT Software Asset Manager to join our Software Asset Management centre of excellence. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in a large multi-year transformation programme, driving efficiency and compliance across the organization.

About You

We are looking for an IT Software Asset Manager with exceptional communication, resilience, influence, organisational and teamwork skills. You will be responsible for managing and optimising our software assets, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency across the organisation. You will work closely with various departments, effectively communicating and negotiating with stakeholders to implement best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise software assets to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Develop and implement effective asset management strategies
  • Lead a team to deliver on all aspects of the business-as-usual service
  • Collaborate with various departments to implement best practices

Requirements

  • Strong leadership qualities to manage a team, share knowledge and upskill/coach colleagues
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of software licensing models for large vendors, particularly IBM, Microsoft and SAP
  • Knowledge of legal matters pertaining to licensing, including Copyrights, Designs and Patents Act
  • Experience of dealing with large vendor audits, either direct with the vendor or through an audit consultancy
  • Proven innovative approach to complex licence issues
