Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Debt Recovery Specialist to join our team based in Sheffield. This is a full-time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week with a split between home and office-based work.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in collections and excellent communication skills. They will be comfortable making outgoing telephone calls to customers and working to targets to achieve personal and team goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recovering outstanding debts from businesses and individuals through telephone calls
  • Handling difficult conversations in a sensitive and professional manner
  • Entering accurate records of conversations and payment agreements into a customer database
  • FOLLOWING processes and guidelines regarding debt collection
  • Working in an open plan, contact centre environment to achieve personal and team targets
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' collections experience
  • Clear and confident communications skills
  • Being comfortable working to targets and earning a competitive salary
  • Strong IT skills to learn new technologies and systems quickly
  • Happiness in making outgoing telephone calls to customers and handling challenging situations
  • Problem-solving abilities to ask the right questions and obtain necessary information
