About the Role
This Senior Support Worker position at Phoenix Learning and Care requires a skilled and caring individual to lead shifts and support children with social and emotional needs. The role involves providing daily care, support, and guidance to help the children reach their full potential.
Salary
The estimated salary for this role is £28,080 per annum, based on a 40-hour workweek, plus potential sleep-in allowance of up to £6,183 per year.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading shifts and managing teams.
- Recruitment, supervision, meetings, and inspections.
- Working closely with children to develop personalized plans and achieve their goals.
- Maintaining accurate records and monitoring progress.
- Participating in our on-call rota and responding to emergencies.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to working with vulnerable children.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- A valid driving license and ability to transport children.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including sleep-ins, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- A qualification in residential childcare or willingness to pursue one, with support provided by the organization.
