Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team in Rochdale. This role involves providing emotional wellbeing support to children and young people, as well as developing and delivering educational programs to promote healthy relationships and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver individualised support services to young people, addressing their unique emotional health and wellbeing needs.
  • Collaborate with local partners to develop and implement effective intervention plans that promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic support, drawing on your expertise and training.
  • Support the emotional wellbeing of children and young people through evidence-based practices and strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring compliance with Early Break policies and procedures.
  • Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work, youth work).
  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with emotional health and wellbeing needs.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches and attachment theory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of young people.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Long Service Leave: an additional 4 weeks paid holiday after every 3 years in service.
  • Supervision: 10 sessions per 12 months with an external supervisor.
  • Wellbeing Day: 2 x half days of additional paid leave every 12 months.
  • Volunteer Day: 1 day additional paid leave every 12 months.
  • Flexible Working Options: part-time arrangements available.
