Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Children's Service Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing emotional wellbeing support to children and young people across the community and education settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a range of individualised support services to young people with emotional health and wellbeing needs, including advice, signposting, and access to wider CYPMH provision.
  • Work closely with local partners to develop and implement intervention plans that address the specific needs of children and young people.
  • Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic support in line with the Greater Manchester mental health crisis pathway.
  • Support the emotional wellbeing of children and young people through de-escalation and resilience building techniques.
  • Develop and deliver education sessions and group work in partnership with schools and community organisations.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, adhering to Early Break policies on Safeguarding.
  • Engage in regular training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work, youth work).
  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with emotional health and wellbeing needs.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches and attachment theory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of young people.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Long Service Leave: an additional 4 weeks paid holiday after every 3 years in service.
  • Supervision: 10 sessions per 12 months with an external supervisor.
  • Wellbeing Day: 2 x half days of additional paid leave every 12 months.
  • Volunteer Day: 1 day additional paid leave every 12 months.
  • Flexible Working Options: part-time arrangements available.
