Job Title: Lead Buyer

Celeros Flow Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Buyer to join our team. As a Lead Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, negotiating, and purchasing all commodities for the Pump market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain relationships with key strategic subcontractors, including operational purchasing and performance improvement, contract governance, and relationship management.
  • Source new vendors, resolve conflicts, and ensure satisfactory operations.
  • Review, evaluate, and monitor department purchase requisitions for proper authorization, specifications, and legal compliance.
  • Procure appropriate items or services, create and review purchase orders, and research and resolve receiving and accounts payable issues.
  • Ensure delivery of all components within lead time and budget, in line with the required delivery date by operations and for revenue and cash billing milestones.
  • Develop and manage procurement strategies, benchmarking of key commodities, and undertake supply chain research to ensure Clyde Union purchasing power is maximized and all commodities are purchased within budget and material savings are maximized.
Requirements:
  • Strong negotiation and cost analysis skills, influencing, interpersonal, communication, IT, including SAP or equivalent, vendor management.
  • Experience with the procurement of a variety of commodities, including raw materials, electronics, connectors, power suppliers, cable assemblies, sheet metalwork, machining, and castings.
  • Experience of tender bids, contracts, management of sub-contracts, SC standards, and process.
  • CIPS qualified, or HNC, Degree level in business, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
