Repair Technician Volunteer

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Repair Technician Volunteer to join our team at Greener and Cleaner. As a Repair Technician Volunteer, you will play a vital role in our pilot project, which aims to reduce waste and increase the confidence of visitors in repairing items.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience in repairing general household items, electrical appliances, bicycles, furniture, and wooden items. You will be comfortable working in a customer-facing role and be able to problem-solve and repair items efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide repair services at our repair cafe in The Hub.
  • Assist visitors in repairing their items and provide guidance on sustainable solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with the Events Coordinator and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the repair cafe.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Experience in repairing general household items, electrical appliances, bicycles, furniture, and wooden items.
  • Ability to work in a customer-facing role and be comfortable with problem-solving and repair.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Availability to commit 4 hours per month to this volunteer role.
