Join Our Team as a Repair Technician Volunteer

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic volunteer to join our team as a Repair Technician at our Repair Cafe in The Hub. As a Repair Technician, you will play a vital role in helping visitors repair their items, reducing waste and promoting sustainability.

About the Role

The Repair Technician Volunteer will be responsible for providing repair services to visitors, using their skills and knowledge to fix a variety of items. This may include general household items, electrical appliances, bicycles, furniture, and textiles. You will work closely with our team to ensure that visitors receive the best possible service and that their items are repaired to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide repair services to visitors using your skills and knowledge
  • Work closely with our team to ensure that visitors receive the best possible service
  • Use your skills and knowledge to fix a variety of items, including general household items, electrical appliances, bicycles, furniture, and textiles
  • Ensure that all repairs are carried out to a high standard

Requirements

  • Experience of using repair tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of repair techniques and methods
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
