We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic volunteer to join our team at the Repair Cafe in The Hub. As a Repair Technician Volunteer, you will play a vital role in helping visitors repair their items and reducing waste in our community.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience in repairing general household items, electrical appliances, bicycles, furniture, and wooden items. You will be comfortable working in a customer-facing role and be able to provide excellent customer service. Additionally, you will be a team player and be able to work collaboratively with our Events Coordinator and other volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide repair services to visitors at the Repair Cafe
  • Use repair tools and equipment to fix a variety of items
  • Work collaboratively with the Events Coordinator and other volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of the Repair Cafe
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for visitors

Requirements

  • Experience in repairing general household items, electrical appliances, bicycles, furniture, and wooden items
  • Comfortable working in a customer-facing role
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
