Supply Chain Strategist, Inventory Optimization Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Strategist to lead our inventory optimization efforts and drive operational excellence in our dynamic beauty and cosmetics industry.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in demand and supply planning to join our team at TMS Search. As a Supply Chain Strategist, you will be responsible for shaping our supply chain strategy, ensuring high-quality products are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Management: Develop and implement effective inventory control processes to track stock levels, reorder points, and safety stock, ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.
- Leadership: Lead regular meetings with cross-functional teams to review and update forecasts, production plans, and inventory levels, driving collaborative decision-making and operational alignment.
- Performance Tracking: Prepare and present detailed reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, delivery, and operations planning to senior management, highlighting performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Sales Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts using historical data, insights from the sales team, and upcoming product launches to ensure alignment with market demand.
- Experience: A minimum of five years in end-to-end supply chain management, with a strong background in demand and supply planning, particularly in fast-moving consumer goods. Ideally from a manufacturing business supplying direct to retailers.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical abilities to interpret complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions that drive operational success.
- Educational Background: Ideally a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, operations management, or a related field.
- Proficiency: Familiarity with data analysis tools and software, such as Excel and ERP systems, to enhance reporting and forecasting accuracy.
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
