Job Overview

Gnaw Chocolate is a leading premium chocolate manufacturer seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager for Production Optimization to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our products to customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Management: Develop and implement an inventory management system to ensure timely delivery of ingredients and materials to production.
  2. Supplier Negotiation: Negotiate best pricing and MOQs with suppliers, ensuring quality and shelf life meet company standards.
  3. Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement a procurement strategy with clear targets and progress scorecard.
  4. Supply Chain Optimization: Review supplier base and develop/activate strategies to increase buying efficiency, reducing associated cost base and drag on cash flow.
  5. Production Planning: Create optimum production planning cycle to satisfy customer demand for all products within respective portfolios, whilst optimising operational efficiency, using corporate production standards to improve output at lower cost.

Requirements: We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with experience in procurement and planning within the FMCG food sector. Strong Excel skills and knowledge of Sage are essential. If you have a can-do attitude, are able to drive projects with pace, and are passionate about delivering high-quality results, we would love to hear from you.

Location: Office based in Norwich, Norfolk, UK

Salary: up to £45k based on experience
