We are seeking an exceptional Teaching Assistant to join our specialist team at Teaching Personnel.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and have a love for the outdoors and community learning.

Job Overview:

This role involves providing high-quality support in all aspects of teaching and learning, including classroom support, local environment, and community-based activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism, in achieving their educational and personal goals.
  • Deliver effective education and support in line with identified needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Attend training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and achievement.

Requirements:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Experience working with children and young people with additional needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work in a variety of settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and community locations.

Salary: £22,500 - £26,000 per annum, depending on experience.
