Elac Study Vacations is a reputable independent school with a strong presence in the UK, operating from 8 centres across the country. With over 30 years of experience, we have established ourselves as a leading provider of English language and cultural programs for international students aged 9-17 years old.

Our centres are strategically located in Hayward's Heath, Bath, Horsham, Eastbourne, Nottingham, Cirencester, Berkhamsted, and offer a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in British culture and language. Our programs run for 4-6 weeks from July, providing a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.

Job Overview

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated English language instructors to join our team of experienced educators. As a Summer School Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality English language instruction to our students, creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching young learners, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to our curriculum and teaching methods. Previous experience in summer school settings is welcome, but not essential. We offer a comprehensive training program to support our new staff members in developing their teaching skills.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality English language instruction to students aged 9-17 years old
  • Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans, using our pre-prepared materials and resources
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Participate in staff training and development programs
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in any subject
  • Hold a TEFLi certificate, such as CELTA or Trinity Cert. TESOL, or a PGCE English/Modern Languages with ELT/TESOL subsidiary and EFL teaching experience
  • Have a strong passion for teaching young learners and a commitment to delivering high-quality instruction
  • Be able to adapt to our curriculum and teaching methods
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
Benefits

As a Summer School Teacher with Elac Study Vacations, you will enjoy a competitive salary, ranging from £485 to £525 per week, depending on your experience and qualifications. You will also receive a comprehensive training program, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to work with a diverse group of students and colleagues.

Residential staff will have board and accommodation included, with a weekly accommodation supplement deducted from their salary. We offer a safe and supportive working environment, with a strong focus on staff well-being and development.
