About Elac Study Vacations
Elac Study Vacations is a well-established educational institution with multiple centers across the UK, dedicated to providing immersive English language and cultural experiences for international students aged 9-17.
Program Overview
Our programs run for a duration of 4-6 weeks during the summer months, focusing on language acquisition and cultural enrichment. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about teaching young learners. While prior experience in summer education is beneficial, it is not a strict requirement. This role is particularly suitable for newly qualified educators, offering ample support and professional growth opportunities.
Instructors will be engaged for 27 hours per week, which may include teaching, assessments, and orientation activities. The teaching schedule may vary throughout the contract period.
Most lessons are pre-designed to facilitate student engagement and skill development, with opportunities for instructors to incorporate their own lesson plans, fostering creativity without the burden of extensive preparation. Repeating lessons can significantly reduce planning time.
One of our centers also accommodates younger students aged 7-10. Candidates with experience in this age group or in teaching English through performance are encouraged to highlight this in their applications.
Residential instructors will participate in one educational excursion weekly, contributing to the overall experience while not having any pastoral responsibilities, such as overnight supervision.
Qualifications- Applicants must possess:
- A relevant degree*
- A recognized TEFL certification (e.g., CELTA or Trinity Cert. TESOL) with a minimum of 100 hours of instruction and at least 6 hours of supervised teaching practice, or
- A PGCE in English/Modern Languages with ELT/TESOL focus and EFL teaching experience, or
- A University Certificate in ELT/TESOL with EFL teaching experience. *Candidates without a degree but holding a relevant EFL qualification and experience may be considered. If you do not meet these criteria, please explore other summer opportunities with us.
Instructors can expect a weekly salary ranging from £485 to £525.
Total weekly earnings may vary from £465.17 to £588.37, depending on holiday entitlement. Holiday pay will be calculated at 12.07% of the total gross salary and paid at the end of the contract.
Residential staff will receive accommodation and meals, with a weekly accommodation fee deducted from their salary.
There are no additional pastoral duties required.

Contract Details
Contracts are typically for 4 weeks, with the possibility of extending for an additional 2 weeks. Shorter contracts may also be available upon inquiry. Staff training is conducted 1-2 days prior to the program commencement.
