Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our Structures team, you will play a major role in delivering schemes across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop structural solutions for building projects, including calculations and specifications.
  • Conduct technical reviews of drawings and junior member's designs.
  • Prepare tender and contract documents.
  • Attend coordination, design team, and site meetings.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis.
  • Utilize software including Robot, Masterseries, Etabs, Tedds, and CSC Fastrac Building Designer.

Requirements

  • Relevant civil or structural engineering degree.
  • Production of calculations and specifications.
  • Technical reviews of drawings and junior member's designs.
  • Preparation of tender and contract documents.
  • Attendance at coordination, design team, and site meetings.
  • Finite Element Analysis.
  • Knowledge of software including Robot, Masterseries, Etabs, Tedds, and CSC Fastrac Building Designer.
