Job Title: Supported Living Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supported Living Worker to join our team at St Helens Borough Council. As a Supported Living Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in their own homes.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our service users. As a Supported Living Worker, you will be responsible for providing person-centred support to our service users, promoting their independence, and enabling them to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in their own homes
  • Develop and implement person-centred support plans to promote independence and well-being
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure seamless support and care
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of risk assessments and risk management strategies
  • Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs
  • Knowledge of person-centred support planning and risk management strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Valid Enhanced DBS Disclosure
