Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Specialist MRI Radiographer to join our team at The Wilmslow Hospital. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Service, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality MRI scans and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of Radiographers to ensure efficient and effective imaging procedures
  • Undertake MRI scans in accordance with established clinical guidelines and protocols
  • Maintain competence in general x-ray and other imaging modalities as required
  • Support the development and education of junior staff members
  • Participate in the induction of new clinical staff and provide guidance on imaging procedures
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent Radiographer to manage workload and provide leadership
  • Ensure effective communication with the team to deliver a smooth-running service
  • Address day-to-day staff queries and liaise with support functions as needed
  • Take ownership of governance activities, including audits and personal development
  • Provide compassionate patient-centered care and ensure the safety of patients at all times
  • Contribute to the development and promotion of the Diagnostic Imaging Service
  • Assist with the booking of appointments and work closely with Radiologists
  • Support the Superintendent Radiographer with MRI safety queries
  • Be available to work weekends as required to support the service
Requirements
  • HCPC registration
  • Degree or equivalent in Radiography
  • Post-graduate qualification in MRI
  • Extensive experience (5 years+) in MRI
  • Cardiac MRI experience is desirable
  • Experience with 3T scanning
