About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at Wilmslow Health Centre. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical staff and providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage referrals and general secretarial duties in a busy GP surgery with over 16,000 patients
  • Send off dictated letters and handle patient queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist with general duties associated with a busy GP surgery, including working as part of a small team to offer excellent patient care
  • Support the clinical staff and be part of the face of the practice

Person Specification

  • Essential:
    • Medical secretary experience with audio typing skills and ability to adapt to a changing workplace
    • Excellent computer skills and experience of a clinical system is preferable
  • Desirable:
    • Friendly and willing to learn
    • Able to work under pressure and be part of a small team that can support each other
