Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Autism Support Specialist to join our team at SNAP Care. As a SEN Support Professional, you will work closely with a 10-year-old child with Cerebral Palsy and ADHD, providing support and assistance with daily activities, education, and personal care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to the child, promoting independence and self-help skills
  • Assist with personal care, including toileting and bathing
  • Support the child with their therapy program, working closely with their therapist
  • Plan and implement fun and educational activities to promote the child's development
  • Provide 2:1 support when out in the community, working with the child's parent or another team member

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in childcare, with a focus on supporting children with Autism and ADHD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patience, understanding, and a calm demeanor
