Job Description

**Job Title:** Learning Support Assistant

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning Ltd. The successful candidate will provide support to students with complex needs, enabling them to access Specialist Further Education and achieve their vocational pathways.

Main Responsibilities:
  • **Student Learning:** Provide support to students in following lesson plans, being mindful of neither over-supporting nor under-supporting. Follow SMART learning objectives set by the tutor, embedding functional skills English and Maths opportunities.
  • **Pastoral Care:** Be a calm, positive, respectful, and resilient role model, having a 'can-do' attitude. Listen carefully to feedback and responses from students, valuing their ideas and promoting their Student Voice.
  • **General Responsibilities:** Take responsibility for the safeguarding and promoting the well-being and welfare of students. Respect and maintain confidentiality, but have regard to the safeguarding protocols of information sharing where necessary.

**Requirements:** The successful candidate will be required to complete Disclosure and Barring Service declarations in line with Section 115 of the Police Act 1997. You will also be required to provide 2 professional references covering at least the last 2 years, and complete our online application followed by a video or face-to-face interview.
