Job Overview

This is a specialist clinical role in North Wales, providing care to patients with complex communication, swallowing, and airway disorders. The successful candidate will have highly specialist clinical skills in the assessment and management of patients presenting with tracheostomy, complex swallowing disorders, voice disorders, and head and neck cancer.

The ability to carry out and interpret instrumental assessments such as videofluoroscopy and FEES is highly desirable for this role. In this position, you will provide clinical leadership, develop excellence in clinical practice, and deliver advanced clinical assessment and interventions.

Main Duties

You will work clinically within our Acute and Community settings, providing care to patients with altered airways, complex communication, and swallowing disorders, voice disorders, and head and neck cancer. You will work with established and developing multi-agency and inter-disciplinary teams across BCUHB and with partners to develop SLT services into new pathways that meet the needs of this population.
