Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic dietitian to join our friendly team delivering services in acute and primary care, and public health.

Our programme of rotations offers the opportunity to experience and develop knowledge across a wide variety of specialisms across both hospital and outpatient services, enabling the development of core skills to achieve a broad base for ongoing dietetic practice.

Each rotation includes a core element in the provision of dietetic service to wards, outpatient clinics, and the delivery of structured education. Both inpatient and outpatient work will include the provision of a range of dietetic services, including oral nutrition support, artificial nutrition support, and support for gastrointestinal disorders.

You will join a team of Band Dietitians where you will be supported by Specialist Dietitians to develop competence across speciality areas. Specialist month rotations held alongside core work may include renal, paediatrics, public health, diabetes, and gastroenterology and oncology.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hold a caseload and provide a Dietetic service to adults with a wide range of conditions, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, and discharge.
  • Work as a member of the Dietetic team and multi-disciplinary teams, liaising with and advising other agencies in relation to the specific client's needs and service delivery.

This post offers a wealth of development and progression opportunities, including holding a portfolio of responsibilities to ensure that clinical practice and governance are fully integral to service provision across the area.
