Dementia Advocate

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate individual to join our team as an Advocate Volunteer. As an Advocate Volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting people living with dementia in the community, ensuring they can express their views, concerns, and wishes.
Through establishing strong, trusting relationships with the people you support and their carers, you will make a significant difference in the lives of people living with dementia. Your role will involve visiting people in their homes, supporting with advocacy cases, and ensuring they can make informed decisions about their care and well-being.
As a member of our team, you will be part of a dedicated group of individuals who are passionate about empowering people living with dementia. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our Dementia Adviser and Support team, who provide expert guidance and support to people affected by dementia.
Key responsibilities include:
- Visiting people living with dementia in their homes to support with advocacy cases
- Establishing strong, trusting relationships with people and their carers
- Ensuring people living with dementia can express their views, concerns, and wishes
- Supporting people to make informed decisions about their care and well-being
We are looking for someone who is passionate about empowering people living with dementia, has excellent communication skills, and is able to work independently. If you are a compassionate and proactive individual who is looking for a rewarding role, we would love to hear from you.
