Dementia Advocate

About the Role
As an Advocate Volunteer with the Alzheimer's Society, you will be visiting people living with dementia in the community to support with advocacy cases and ensure they can express their views, concerns, and wishes.
Through establishing strong trusting relationships with the people you're supporting and their carers, you will make a huge difference to the lives of people living with dementia, ensuring they can make choices and have their rights upheld.
Key Responsibilities
* Support people living with dementia in the community with advocacy cases
* Establish strong trusting relationships with people living with dementia and their carers
* Ensure people living with dementia can express their views, concerns, and wishes
* Work closely with the York Local Services Team to support the citizens of York
