Mental Health Specialist

The Mental Health Specialist will provide key contributions to the Early Intervention in Psychosis service within Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.
Job Objectives
Deliver high-quality assessments, care coordination, and outreach services to individuals with first episode psychosis.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide initial referrals, assessments, and education to individuals with first episode psychosis.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
- Offer support to family members and carers through education and liaison.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will possess a background in mental health, a strong understanding of Early Interventions principles, and experience working in community mental health services.
