About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing administrative support to our clinical teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical support to the Division of Medicine under the supervision of Renal Secretaries.
  • Register attendances and update patient demographic details in the patient administration system.
  • Comply with the Trust's vision, values, and behavioural compact.
  • Provide typing support to the Division of Medicine under the supervision of the Renal Secretaries.
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to work effectively in a team environment. The successful candidate will have:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to communicate in an understandable way to patients and colleagues, adapting communication style to meet the needs of the recipient.
  • Ability to communicate messages and instructions accurately to colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic skills of empathy and reassurance.
  • Basic keyboard skills.
  • Ability to use basic email system and document clearly, using plain English.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety requirements in a patient environment.
  • General understanding of confidentiality requirements in a health care setting.
  • Willing to undertake further training related to role.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Maths and English at level 2 or above (GCSE A C or equivalent).
  • NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent in any subject.
  • Proven prior customer services experience.
