About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Contracts Advisor to join our team at Shell. As a key member of our Commercial Operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting our trading business and ensuring that our contracts and agreements are negotiated and executed in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Negotiation and Management: You will be responsible for negotiating and managing contracts and agreements with our counterparties, including major resource holders, upstream producers, investment banks, trading houses, utilities, power generators, and large industrial and commercial gas and power users.
  • Commercial and Contractual Advice: You will provide accurate and timely commercial and contractual advice to our trading business, including for new Customer Value Propositions, Deal Approval Forms, and other strategic opportunities.
  • Process Improvement: You will work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and minimize risks across our trading business.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: You will ensure that our contracts and agreements comply with Shell's Control Framework, including SOX controls, Contractual Allocation of Risk Framework (CARF), and Manual of Authorities (MOA).
Requirements
  • Strong Negotiation Skills: You will have strong negotiation skills, including the ability to apply different techniques depending on the situation.
  • Commercial and Contractual Knowledge: You will have a thorough understanding of commercial and contractual structures and be able to communicate clear recommendations on risks and opportunities.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills and analytical ability.
  • Knowledge of Energy Market Fundamentals: You will have knowledge of energy market fundamentals, risk management, and regulations.
