Associate Director of Elective Recovery

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated leader to join our team as the Associate Director of Elective Recovery. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of our elective recovery programme, working closely with the Surgery & Cancer Division to ensure the provision of high-quality patient services.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering the elective recovery programme, working closely with the Divisional Triumvirate to ensure alignment with Trust priorities and performance targets.
- Providing strategic leadership at divisional level, ensuring that there are appropriate systems and processes in place to enable staff to deliver high-quality clinical care.
- Driving forward the service improvement agenda, achieving efficiency gains and improving operational effectiveness within the Division.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Master's degree or equivalent level management qualification.
- Extensive experience at a senior level in an acute Trust environment, including a sound understanding of the performance and governance requirements of the NHS for acute Trusts.
- Significant experience of financial management and rigorous financial management and control to meet agreed targets.
- Experience of establishing and applying performance management systems in areas like contract monitoring, staff management and departmental performance indicators.
- Experience of service improvement and strong performance management experience.
