We are looking for a skilled SEN Support Worker to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As an SEN Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Job Overview- This is a full-time, permanent position within a welcoming and supportive SEN environment.
- You will work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to implement individualized learning plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Assist students in overcoming both learning and social challenges by providing encouragement, guidance, and practical support throughout their daily activities.
- Help create a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere that fosters participation and builds confidence among students.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance your skills in SEN support and contribute to the school's inclusive ethos.
- Engage with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on strategies for home support.
- Prior experience in an SEN or support role is highly desirable, with a preference for candidates who have worked with children with special educational needs.
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to learning challenges, with the ability to respond effectively to the diverse needs of students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A current and clear Enhanced DBS check is essential to ensure the safety and security of all students.
- An estimated salary of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
