Job Title: Regional Team Manager

At Centaur Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Team Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our transport operation in the UK, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the effective and compliant running of the UK transport operation, including managing day-to-day operational activity to meet customer and cost demands.
  • Ensure SLAs and KPIs are met and/or exceeded, and hold an international or national CPC and be named on the relevant O license.
  • Lead a team of transport department members, motivating and developing individuals to work to the highest professional standards.
  • Make sound judgment calls and implement continuous improvement initiatives in a controlled, measured, and clearly communicated way.
  • Collaborate with the Warehousing team members, including distribution center managers, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee the complete employee lifecycle for team members, including performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Manage depot costs, ensure compliance with O Licence requirements, and audit fleet files on a regular basis.
  • Ensure all legal compliance requirements for vehicles are met, and form a strong link with local maintenance providers to minimize hire requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance from all team members, from good distribution practice to health and safety.
Requirements:
  • Transport Manager CPC holder (essential)
  • Regular travel to other sites owned or associated with MWI as required
  • A people person with a desire to grow and develop individuals
  • Organized and structured in their work
  • Good time management skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Knowledge of driver's hours and of maintenance compliance
  • Proficient with MS packages
  • A person who develops great relationships, fosters collaboration with other functions & departments, at all levels
  • Can approach current ways of working with an open mindset and professionally challenge the norm
  • Manage KPI performance
  • Inspires people towards positive achievement of common goals
  • Empowers and connects effectively with others through involvement, delegation, and trust
