Job Summary
Churchill Howard Ltd, a reputable organisation in the region, is seeking an experienced Internal Controls Specialist to join their finance function in Warwickshire. This exciting opportunity involves overseeing key elements of internal controls across the organisation, ensuring effective risk management and compliance.
About the Role
This hybrid role provides a unique chance to build and develop the internal controls universe across the company, supporting projects with risk assessment and mitigation, and advising the business on risk and control. As part of the controls team, you will report to an inspirational manager and collaborate with various stakeholders across the wider business, including the c-suite and internal audit department.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing effective internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conducting regular reviews and assessments of internal controls to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with colleagues to design and implement processes that promote a culture of compliance.
- Providing expert advice to the business on risk and control matters.
- Supporting projects that require risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- A relevant professional qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or MCIIA.
- Motivated and organised individual with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective understanding of internal controls over financial reporting and controls testing.
- Able to appraise processes or data to make recommendations.
- Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders across the business.
What We Offer
In return for your expertise, Churchill Howard Ltd offers a highly competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with excellent additional benefits and progression opportunities available.
