Highway Development Control Specialist

As a Highways Development Control Specialist at Waterman Aspen, you will be working on some of the biggest infrastructure projects in the UK. Our diverse client base includes local authorities, consultancies, public bodies, and construction companies. You will be a key member of the team and will have the opportunity to apply and develop your skills in a varied client base. You will also have buy-in from clients to assist in your technical progression and further exposure to your chosen industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing highway applications associated with the highway development control process including dealing with S38, S111, and S278 applications under the Highways Act 1980
  • Taking a leading role in processing the full range of planning applications to discharge reserved highway planning condition matters
  • Attending Planning Committee meetings, pre-application and planning meetings, and providing advice on highway matters associated with planning applications.
