The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Controller to act as a Business Partner for our business in UK & Ireland. Our Controllers at RWE Renewables Europe & Australia work in 9 countries across Europe, providing financial services for operational assets and projects under development and construction. As a Performance Controller, you will support the profitable growth of our renewables portfolio by setting up, interpreting, and analysing steering financial and operational KPIs. You will also be responsible for business planning and forecasting, including deviation analyses and preparing a comprehensive storyline for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  1. Supporting growth ambitions for Onshore, Solar, and Storage in the UK & Ireland during the development and construction phase by setting up, interpreting, and analysing steering financial and operational KPIs.
  2. Maintaining and strengthening good working relationships with internal counterparties within Renewables and the wider RWE group.
  3. Developing and continuously improving planning and controlling tools, especially with a focus on automation and digitalisation.
  4. Implementing and refining structures and processes to ensure an efficient way of working for all stakeholders.

Requirements

  1. Excellent university degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, or Business Administration.
  2. Proven experience in a controlling / subsidiary management / finance area.
  3. A profound knowledge and understanding of the European energy market and related regulations, especially in UK & Ireland.
  4. Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and information and present it in a clear and logical format.
  5. Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and intercultural skills to establish and foster effective working relationships in a cross-cultural environment.
  6. Highly reliable and flexible team-player with a good self-organisation and a strong commitment.
  7. Good skills in SAP (FI/CO/BI) and MS Office.
  8. Familiarity with IFRS; UK and Irish GAAP is a plus.
  9. Fluent in English.
