Job Description: The Mental Health Counselor II-Emergency Coordinator will provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to students at Plymouth State University. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices, as well as experience working with diverse populations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students, including crisis intervention and stabilization.
  • Offer consultation services to faculty and staff regarding psychological issues affecting student mental health.
  • Participate in emergency on-call rotations and provide critical counseling services during crisis scenarios.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical interactions and consultations.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or related field, and two years of full-time licensed counseling experience in a mental health agency or counseling center.
  • NH License or license eligible as a mental health professional.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Specialization and/or certification (LADC, Disordered Eating Specialist, EMDR, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and experience with or willingness to learn Titanium, CCAPS, and time management software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion.

Salary Information: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, retirement, tuition, and paid time off.

Bonus Information: Employees may be eligible for bonuses based on performance and departmental needs.
