We are seeking a seasoned Controls & Instrumentation (C&I) Project Engineer to take on a specialized role within our team. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with a diverse array of established and emerging power generation technologies and storage solutions.
Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for individuals who exhibit a flexible and enthusiastic mindset, are highly self-driven, and can take ownership of challenges from inception to resolution across our assets in the UK and Sweden.

- Conducting proactive and reactive work, including troubleshooting, problem-solving, and investigations across a wide range of process plants and systems to support performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as safety, time, cost, quality, and technical performance.
- Leading project teams as necessary, depending on the complexity of the project.
- Promoting best practices across Uniper sites by networking and benchmarking with other plants, departments, engineers, and industries to achieve optimal performance levels and manage revenue and capital expenditures effectively.
- Defining scopes of work and developing both technical and contractual specifications.
- Ensuring meticulous attention to detail in establishing and delivering contractor Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Advocating for a culture of health, safety, environmental awareness, and quality; actively seeking improvements in these areas and contributing to their development, planning, and execution for Asset Support and Uniper.
Your Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- A Higher National Diploma or Degree in a Control & Instrumentation related field, complemented by solid technical knowledge of engineering, project management, and maintenance practices acquired through experience.
- Proficiency in applying health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards at NEBOSH Certificate level or an equivalent recognized qualification in a practical context.

- Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships within the team, across business functions, and with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively.
- In-depth knowledge and application of project management tools and techniques.
- Strong organizational, contract, and project management skills to oversee multiple contracts within a project, addressing health, safety, environmental, quality, commercial, and technical aspects.
- A full and clean UK driving license.
Desirable Attributes:
- Familiarity with best practice lean tools for resolving engineering issues to root cause.
