The Role: Vehicle Damage Assessor - Estimator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor - Estimator to join our team in Mansfield. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assessing vehicle damage, preparing accurate estimates, and liaising with insurance companies and customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs required.
  • Prepare detailed electronic and manual estimates, outlining repair costs and timeframes.
  • Identify the appropriate repair methods in accordance with Thatcham Repair Methods and BSi safety standards.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance companies to obtain authorization for repairs.
  • Collaborate with technicians and engineers to explain repair methodologies and ensure understanding.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices, manufacturer guidelines, and insurer requirements.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds or ATA / IMI qualification in Vehicle Damage Assessment.
  • Solid experience working within a bodyshop environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Thatcham Repair Methods and BSi safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
