Domestic Assistant

About the Role
Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Domestic Assistant to join our Facilities Team at our Soss Moss site in Macclesfield. As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for both service users and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for cleaning all areas in accordance with the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) national standards of cleanliness.
- Collect and dispose of daily rubbish and recyclables.
- Undertake the washing up of mealtime dishes for service users.
- Responsible for opening up or closing buildings as appropriate, with prior approval from management.
- Inform Porters or security of any security breaches.
- Order cleaning materials as and when required.
- Ensure all equipment used in connection with duties is in a clean and tidy condition.
- Report any faults or issues to the Domestic Supervisor.
- Provide details of any untoward incidents to administrative or senior nursing staff.
- Use appropriate equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while conducting cleaning duties.
