Job Title: Assistant Financial Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Accountant to join our team at Hilton Foods. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial support and guidance to our operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Produce monthly expenditure updates from Hilton Foods on Shared Services Agreement spend.
  • Manage financial systems, including bookkeeping, accounts reconciliation, and financial policy and procedure.
  • Raise purchase orders, invoices, and credit notes, and manage banking activity.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and forecast processes, and ongoing monitoring of costs.
  • Provide ad-hoc and regular analysis to support business performance.
  • Ensure the completion and submission of tax and statistical returns, including VAT, PAYE, and others as required.
  • Support CAPEX and procurement process approval, and audit processes.
Requirements:
  • Accountancy qualification with experience working in services entities.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial issues.
  • Experience with accounting systems, including SAP4 HANA, and proficiency in Excel.
