Specialist Teacher for Learners with ASD

Capital College Group, a further education college in central London, is seeking an experienced Specialist Teacher to join their team. The successful candidate will have expertise in teaching learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated behavioural needs.
About the Role:
The post holder will be responsible for leading and teaching within our MLD/SLD provision. This includes providing effective teaching, assessment, and tutoring, as well as taking a lead in the learners' pastoral care. A key aspect of the role is to baseline assess students and document the learner journey, setting effective SMART targets and identifying distance travelled.
About You:
You will have an excellent understanding of the learning needs of MLD/SLD learners and preferably a specialist qualification in teaching this cohort. Your skills in differentiating effectively and classroom management will also be essential.
About the Salary:
The estimated annual salary for this position is £40,000-£60,000, depending on experience.
