We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert in Functional Skills Education to join our team at Able Personnel.

Role Overview:
  • Design and deliver high-quality lessons in functional skills English and mathematics for adult learners
  • Teach face-to-face sessions, tailoring instruction to meet individual learner needs and preferences
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to promote learner motivation and academic achievement
  • Manage a caseload of 12 learners, providing regular feedback and support to foster their development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective safeguarding measures are in place for learners in men's prison
  • Support learners in achieving their academic goals, promoting a sense of accomplishment and pride in their accomplishments
Key Requirements:
  • Degree-level qualification in the specialist subject area of Functional Skills English or Maths
  • Proven expertise in teaching within the subject specialism, with a focus on adult learners
  • UK teaching qualification, enabling you to excel in this role
Compensation and Benefits:
  • A highly competitive salary of £30,722 to £37,059 per annum, inclusive of the London Weighting allowance (pro-rata)
