Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Apple Orchard. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people aged 13-18 years.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and experienced team, providing high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs. As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will be responsible for creating a positive and stimulating environment, promoting the young people's physical, emotional, and social development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each young person
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to young people, promoting positive relationships and attachments
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
  • Participate in activities and outings that promote socialization, education, and personal growth
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure the smooth operation of the home
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of young people's progress and well-being
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with young people, preferably in a residential setting
  • Hold a relevant qualification in childcare or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care)
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain confidentiality
