About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Somewhere Safe to Stay Service (SSTS) team as an Assessment and Reconnection Worker. In this role, you will work closely with individuals experiencing homelessness, providing direct support and developing assessment action plans to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support to individuals new to or at risk of rough sleeping, working closely with them to develop assessment action plans that promote their recovery.
  • Build positive working relationships with a range of services and individuals across Oxford, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Work on a weekly shift rota, including shifts from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, and some weekends and bank holidays.
About You

We are looking for someone with good interpersonal and listening skills, patience, and resilience. If you have a genuine desire to support people to transform their lives, we encourage you to apply. If you have a good understanding of the complex issues faced by homeless people and the ability to manage complex behaviours, we would like to hear from you.
