The Role: Firmware Development Engineer

We are seeking a talented and passionate Firmware Development Engineer to join our Device Engineering Team within the R&D pillar of the Innovation function. This role is crucial in driving the development of cutting-edge devices for new product launches.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to design and develop innovative electronic devices throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial concept to final production.
  • Leverage your expertise in firmware and electronic engineering to deliver high-quality solutions that meet design specifications and performance requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of novel concepts and technologies to address engineering challenges and push the boundaries of product innovation.
  • Lead prototype design, iterative development cycles, and rigorous testing procedures to validate concepts and mitigate risks.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure seamless integration and successful product launches.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and partners to access the latest technologies and facilitate efficient production scaling.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in full-lifecycle product development, particularly within high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • A strong understanding of firmware development principles and best practices across a wide range of microcontrollers.
  • Proficiency in bare metal and RTOS firmware development using C language and IDEs such as Keil, GCC/Clang based IDEs (STM32CubeIDE, MCUXpresso, TI Code Composer Studio).
  • Hands-on experience with electronic schematics, debuggers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and DVMs.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
