Hanson Search is seeking an ambitious Health Policy Professional to join their fast-growing team in the health sector.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about health policy and have a strong desire for autonomy and responsibility. This role offers the opportunity to work with the Executive team to develop and implement the organisation's goals, including staying up-to-date with relevant sector issues and responding to key policy issues.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting the development of health policy, regulations and legislation across the four UK nations
  • Staying informed about the political environment, including parliamentary activity, sector information and other relevant media
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to advance the organization's national goals
  • Drafting consultation reports, position statements and agendas for important committee members, keeping them updated on the organisation's progress
  • Collaborating with the Executive team to carry out effective campaigns through supporting research and analysis

Requirements:

  • Experience developing relationships with parliament, government, and other stakeholders in the public sector
  • Proven track record of excellent writing and speaking skills
  • Experience in fact-finding research and presenting complex information in a straightforward manner
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Desirable: Whitehall/Westminster experience and/or experience in health policy
  • Essential: At least two-three years' experience working within a political setting – charity, civil service trade association, agency etc.
