We are currently seeking a Psychology Graduate Educator to support our students with diverse learning needs at an Ofsted-rated 'Good' secondary school in Wilmslow.

This is a temporary role that begins in December and runs through the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extending or becoming permanent based on performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering personalized support and interventions to students with special educational needs or social-emotional mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. To develop and implement effective individualized learning plans for students with SEN or SEMH needs.
  2. To use evidence-based psychological principles to inform behavior management and promote positive relationships with students.
  3. To provide expert guidance on how to break down complex subjects into manageable chunks, enabling students to grasp core concepts and achieve academic success.
  4. To regularly review student progress, collaborating with the teaching staff to design targeted interventions and optimize learning outcomes.
  5. To nurture a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, fostering students' emotional well-being and encouraging open dialogue.
  6. To collaborate with teachers to maintain a secure and productive learning environment.

An ideal candidate would possess a degree in psychology or a related field, a passion for education, and a commitment to safeguarding policies. This role presents a unique chance for a recent graduate to acquire valuable experience in a school setting while expanding their professional skills.

Essential Details:

  • Location: Wilmslow
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Salary: £21,000 - £25,500 per annum (approx. £419.25 - £500 per week)
  • Contract: Temporary through the academic year, with the possibility of extension or permanency based on performance
